Courage

from StitchCraft by StitchCraft

/

about

Inspired by the Serenity prayer which was delicately inscribed on a refrigerator magnet at my grandparent's house when I was a child. Our elders are such an important presence in our lives.. I think that even if they never said a word of advice to me, just by proximity and witnessing their age and experience, I take on the mission to be well and balanced in the world.

lyrics

Slowly walking on your own

Using only minor stepping stones

You know much more than ones before

Though the feeling’s new your eyes are sore

You know what should be said and done

Though it stings your throat and ties your tongue

You’ve come upon yourself at last

Time to …and break the glass

Have the courage to change what can be changed
Whats water now can be champagne
If you wait too long you’ll go insane
And you’ll only have yourself o blame

Stepped outside with the light in my eye
Little one what will you tell me tonight

I told you once…
But I wont tell you twice

Have the courage to change what can be changed
Whats water now can be champagne
If you wait too long you’ll go insane
And you’ll only have yourself o blame
